Getting great bass without distortion

Bass eats headroom. Low frequencies carry the most energy, so boosting them pushes audio toward its limit fastest. That's why cheap bass boosters crackle.

Punch vs. boom. Around 80 Hz gives kick drums punch; around 250 Hz adds warmth — but too much sounds muddy. Small steps work best.

Let the limiter work. Keep the limiter on when you boost bass and volume together. It lowers peaks smoothly instead of clipping them. Why that matters.
